Solgar Folic Acid is a member of the vitamin B group. It is essential for energy production and is considered as potent brain food. Folic acid is essential for proper cell replication and foetal development. Folic acid is an essential nutrient for any woman contemplating pregnancy (3 months before) and for 12 weeks into pregnancy. Having adequate folic acid levels may reduce a woman's risk of having a child with a brain or spinal cord defect.
