Goji berries are extremely nutrient dense and this is why they're one of our favourite superfoods - they contain the highest concentration of protein of any other fruit, are loaded with vitamin C, have twenty-one trace minerals and are high in fibre. They also boast 15 times the amount of iron found in spinach, as well as calcium, zinc, selenium and many other important trace minerals.

Sweet and chewy, they can add a sweet yet sugar free taste to porridge, cereals, salads or smoothies and yoghurt to create some added benefits. Top tip: soak them in water and have a juicy snack.

Chia Seeds

Another of the superfoods you can easily add to your diet is chia seeds. This ancient food has been used in the past as an endurance food due to all of its nutritional benefits. It has five times more calcium than milk, is packed full of fibre (a whopping 10 grams in only 2 tablespoons) and has high levels of the essential fatty acid, Omega 3 (over 60% making them one of the richest plant based sources). Chia is also a natural mood booster.

These small but mighty seeds are also an antioxidant powerhouse which can help prevent free radical damage.
