What is flaxseed?
Flaxseed, also known as linseed, is an incredibly nutrient rich superfood which is lacking in most diets. Simply add a serving of this superfood to your meals to get all the benefits, any time of day. Flax is one of the greatest sources of plant based omega oils including the essential omega-3 oil Alpha-linolenic acid, as well as omega-6 and 9 oils. These omega oils can have several positive effects on the heart including reducing LDL (bad cholesterol) levels. Flax is also an incredible source of several key vitamins and minerals such as thiamine, magnesium and phosphorus.
