A Guide to Aromatherapy Blending Oils

September 27, 2023
Did you know that you can create your own essential oil blends for massage, beauty or skin solutions using pure carrier oils? We are all familiar with using essential oils in a diffuser or burner, but maybe not as confident with blending. In this blog we'll take a look at a range of different blending oils and learn how to make your own special blends.

The oils used as blending oils - often also known as base oils, or carrier oils are packed with skin-loving omegas, vitamins and nourishing natural goodness.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil is different to the almond oil used in cooking as it is fixed, meaning it won't evaporate. Ideal for body treatments and facial application for even very sensitive skin, sweet almond oil is packed with essential vitamins and minerals.

As a massage oil - add 5 drops of essential oil to 10ml of sweet almond oil.

For a facial treatment - add 2 drops of essential oil to 10ml of sweet almond oil.

In the bath - add 4-6 drops of essential oil to 20ml of sweet almond oil and pour into water
